Adult Students

In English, we aim to inspire minds and develop a love and curiosity of language and literature through studying a rich, inclusive, and academically rigorous international selection of prose, poetry and drama. By exploring themes such as culture, identity, inequality, and power through diverse voices and perspectives, students are encouraged to think critically and consider other perspectives, shaping values that broaden their understanding of how writers use language to describe their world and convey their messages.

We understand that oral and written communication is essential for all school subjects and for building futures beyond school. Our chosen mastery approach to the teaching of grammar and writing, ensures that students develop the technical precision necessary for clear and effective communication. Through a variety of writing tasks, we focus on creativity, coherence, and linguistic accuracy, preparing students to confidently express their ideas in both written and spoken forms.
