Computing
In an era where technology shapes every aspect of our lives, our Computer Science (CS) and Digital Society curriculum at ISB is designed to empower students to:
-
Develop technical proficiency in digital technologies, fostering creativity and critical thinking.
-
Use digital technologies safely and responsibly, understanding their ethical and societal implications.
-
Master computational thinking, problem-solving, and programming skills to design and create innovative digital solutions.
-
Build a strong foundation in IT systems, exploring how data is input, represented, processed, transmitted, and output.
Our curriculum balances theoretical and practical aspects of computing, equipping students with a robust understanding of how technology operates and its pervasive role in daily life.
In the Digital Society course, students will engage in inquiry-based learning to explore how digital technologies are applied across diverse sectors. They will critically analyse the impacts and implications of technology on people and communities, investigating global challenges and evaluating whether digital solutions can mitigate or exacerbate these issues.
At the heart of our programme lies a commitment to student-driven learning. By connecting the curriculum to their passions, interests, and experiences, we aim to inspire students to not only participate in the digital world but to lead and shape its future.
