ISB Borneo Global Issues Conference 2022 (24th to 27th June 2022)

Hello all,

ISB is proud to host the annual Borneo Global Issues Conference, a student-led Model United Nations based each year around one of the UN Sustainability Goals. It involves hundreds of students from all over Brunei (and in non-pandemic times, other countries), with each student representing a country with an opening speech and the proposal of a resolution from their committees- Human Rights; Eco-Soc; Political and Environmental. The trainings take place over three weeks at ISB on Tuesday and Friday afternoons, and culminate with a 4 day conference at the ICC.

Interviews for the Secretary Generals and Chairpersons will take place on Tuesday, May 10th at 2.15pm.

SG’s and Chairs will then prepare without needing too much supervision. We will need help for the ECA on:

Thursdays throughout June from 2.15-4.15pm

Fridays throughout June from 2pm- 4.00pm

The conference itself:

Friday (Lobbying Day) at ISB: 24th June from 2pm – 8pm

Saturday Opening Ceremony + Committees 6am- 4pm

Sunday Committee Debates continue 7am- 4pm

Monday General Assembly and Closing Ceremony 7am- 5pm at ICC
